Chinese New Year this year is on February 10th, 2013. This important traditional Chinese holiday lasts for 15 days! And each day has different festivities and customs depending on where you are from. We have combined these traditions and put them into a parody of "12 Days of Christmas", called "15 Days of Chinese New Year". Have a Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year!

Note: Married people don't get red pockets. And some of the customs that we mention may not be what all Chinese around the world celebrate, this song contains a mix of traditions from Southern China, Northern China and other Chinese diasporas around the world.

No more food coma
You go vegetarian
To clean out your stomach
From eating for two weeks
And celebrate the God of War ~~
Who was a Chinese general
Named Guan Yu
Won a hundred wars

On the fifteenth day of Chinese New Year
In my family
It's lantern festival
Eat rice balls
And Light up candles
If you're South East Asian
Find a boyfriend
Write down your number~~
On a mandarin
Chuck it in a river
And hope a guy will call you
